My name is Jo Harrington and I have been working in PR for almost 10 years. Based in the North-West of England, I am a freelance communications consultant, focusing mainly on the B2B technology sectors, but also covering charity, retail, HR and AV/Theatre as well as working with both start ups and major global brands.

I believe that good communications can make or break a company, product or person. I also know from the conversations I have with people in industry and the press that there are still a large number of people doing PR and communications really badly.

Now, I don’t claim to be perfect, but what I can promise is to place your story in front of the people you want to reach, in a way you want them to receive it.

I am experienced in creating campaigns on national, regional and global campaigns that deliver tangible results. I have worked with both multi-national corporations and small start-up companies and understand the roles PR and communications can play in an organisation of any size.

In addition to the knowledge and experience I can bring to the table, I take a real sense of pride in knowing that I complete every job I take on to the highest standard and deliver the best possible results. 

I enjoy my work, and love to see the difference that good PR can make to individuals and organisations. However, I don’t believe in PR for the sake of it, and if I think there is a better option for you, I’ll tell you. Although I’m not a northerner by birth, I do share the famous ‘no-nonsense’ approach to life and work.
